Looking forward to Celebrating the Resurrection!

I feel so convicted that I get so excited about Christmas and yet rarely do anything for Easter. Not this year. The anticipation starts now, just as it would for Christmas. I must admit that Christmas has always been my favorite holiday. Everything is so beautiful, so perfect. The lights, the colors, the smells, the spirit. At Christmas I take such joy in getting the decorations and gifts just right. But what of Easter? Now, I am not talking about easter bunnies or spring blooms, I am talking about celebrating Christ's Death and Resurrection. And yes, you have to celebrate them both, because you can't have one without the other.

Of course, it is easy to find the beauty in pretty eggs and flowers, but maybe not so much for the other. On the surface, nothing is beautiful about being beaten beyond recognition and dying on a cross right? And if we stopped there we would be a pretty sad group of people. But we don't stop there. As a believer, I look forward to the beautiful resurrection that gives us new life and meaning. So this year I am going to celebrate the Resurrection in every way. As part of my anticipatory joy, I have attempted my first try at Subway Art inspired by the girls of Eighteen25 - they make awesome stuff and printables that I love!

Also- I am going to to 2 more color versions of the same print. So if you would like a different color scheme, just leave me a comment. I will also be doing an Easter countdown printable, so check back later or subscribe to my blog.
