Sock Monkey Birthday!

Here is the promised birthday post! I had to edit some of the pictures, and I have a lot - so it took some time. For My Kiddo's First Birthday, we did a Sock Monkey theme. I just wanted to show you which elements in her room were from her party (see that post here). I also wanted to give some other cool ideas as well.

We did a little candy buffet with a simple cake dressed with a baby sock monkey.

This big sock monkey now sports the tutu she wore on that day and really makes the room SUPER-CUTE! I got it for 20 bucks at Walgreens. The hat was made by My Sissy!

Here is a close up of the cake...
Balloons!

Last minute smash cake

Pail full of cookies. This pail now holds her bouncing ball and keeps it from running away on her toy shelf.

Cheap table setting using scrapbook paper 12x12's, popcorn boxes, and miniature tulle pinwheels.

Here are the kids playing the toywalk, instead of a cakewalk. I just printed off pictures of cartoon characters and stuff that young children would know. It made no sense to call out numbers. Most of the kids were too young to read, but you better believe they knew who Elmo and Brobee were! Toys were handed out as prizes. I must say the mustaches were the biggest hit!

Super-Cute Sock Monkey Plates

Personalized bags for all - made using my craft cutter! Which I will be giving away, as soon as we reach 150 Facebook Fans or 100 subscribers to my blog (whichever comes first). I will be upgrading to a Silhouette Cameo soon! This will be a contest and not a random giveaway, so be sure to tell all your friends!

 Door Prizes!

Picture Scene. This was super-cute outside with all the kiddos and families posing together. We got some really cute shots, but I don't feel comfortable sharing such photos without their permission. Just use your imagination!

Kids Table with scrapbook paper 12x12's, sock monkey coloring sheets from the web, and tulle pinwheels.

Another view of the kid's table. Monogrammed pillow made with my craft cutter. See how much cool stuff you can make with one? Don't you want to win one? Sure, it won't be brand new, but it works just fine and will be FREE to the won who wins it. Try saying that 5 times fast.

Another view of the buffet. The red poms now grace the ceiling in her room. As well as the pennants.

The framed picture served as a guest book and graces the walls in her room.

A great time was had by all and I can't wait to plan the next one. I wonder what the next theme will be?
