Easy Easter Countdown Bunting: Part 1

So here is the long awaited Easter Countdown Bunting.  It is not yet completed, but I thought I would go ahead and get everyone started on making theirs.  For those of you that are wondering if I am finished with St. Patrick's Day ideas, the answer is yes.  At least on MY blog that is. I will be guest posting my last super-cute St. Patty's craft with the Crafting Chicks on March 14th.  So please be sure to check me out there!

My bunting consists of 8 pennants. I sized them pretty large, so only two fit on a piece of paper (sorry). I just hate puny pennants (ooh...did you catch that alliteration?). I designed three different color options - grey & yellow, green & navy, and navy & aqua to coordinate with some of my Easter Subway Art.  If you need another color to match some of my others, either message me or leave a comment asking for one. This deal is for blog subscribers only, so please make sure that you already subscribe to my blog before asking.

Here is how you make it.  You will need 4 sheets of the printables and 3 yards of wide single-fold bias tape. You probably won't need quite that much, but that is how it comes.
First, cut out all the pieces.  I left a little white on the edges of mine.  I also left the white on the top of the triangles, so more of my pennant would be seen under the seam when sewn.  I then unfolded my bias tape...
and inserted the pennant mid-way into the tape....
.... and folded the bias tape evenly in half over the pennants.  I then pinned the tape down in several spots...
...and sewed the entire tape.
Continue to sew the edges all the way down to the end.
And there you have it. Tune it next time for more!
Here are those links:
They are actually sized to 8x10, so you can upload them to Walmart.com and just print them out at pictures. As always, you can print them out on your home printer too. You will just use up a ton of ink!
Also, this bunting doesn't have to be sewn.  You could easily just thread ribbon through some holes or just use some sticky tape for the binding!

  7. Hi...i am new to your blog and I love it. I am so excited to make the banner out of your chevron print. Is there anyway you can match the Navy with a grey Chevron? I am planning my sister's bachelorette party and that would go perfect with the theme.
