Army Dad & Mom Subway Art

***I know that this Father's Day post is super-early, but I wanted to go ahead and post it in case anyone wanted to send it to their loved ones that are deployed overseas. *****

I don't identify with the idea of ties for Father's Day - at all.
My dad never wore ties growing up and my husband never wears them either. However, I can identify with BDU's.  My father and husband are both military veterans and that makes me super proud!

My Dad has always been very firm, but also has a very soft side.  One of my fondest memories of him growing up was when I played Beth in the play "Little Women".  During my death scene, my dad began to bawl like a little girl.  Not exactly what you would expect from a military man!  At the end, all he could say to me was, "Don't ever do that to me again!"

My Dad has always been there for me and I am quite fortunate to have him.  He has always encouraged me to follow my dreams no matter what. I am thankful to have a Dad that truly believed in me. So, this is what inspired me to come up with this subway art. I have made it available in three different sizes.  The only thing I ask is that you please become a subscriber to this blog before downloading it.

This one is for my first blogging friend, Jen from Frazzled Five!  A special  "Army Mom"  version.
I changed the wording up a little to be more "momish".  I also changed "My Hero" to "My Inspiration"- quite frankly because I do not like the way "My Heroine" sounds and because I do not want the "Grammar Police" to come and get me.

  4. I have 2 sons in the military. I would love to have one created for their branch: Air Force and Coast Guard. I display my double star flag in the window. I'm so proud of them!

    1. Sure. It might take me a bit though. Do you want them together? Are they dads? Please let me know exactly what you would like and how you would like it worded.
      Thanks,
      Natalie K.
