Mom: You're The Cure For What "Ales" Me!

I have pretty much thrown the element of surprise out the window when it comes to my Mother's Day Gifts; but I figure these posts can be an even greater gift and blessing to them as they read them.
This next gift is for my stepmother Juanita who is a nurse.  From the earliest days when she entered my life, she always treated my sister and I like her own children.  To this day, we are all treated the same. Everything is always divided equally among all of us and she and my father go out of their way to help each of us. Whenever I have a problem, I know I can go to her.  She might not always have the answer, but she offers calming comfort that soothes the soul.
She is a big diet drinker and every time I go over to their house there is Diet Ginger Ale in the fridge. This led me to come up with this little diddy:
I dressed up the bottles with this little sign. I really wished I had some silver glitter, because I would totally bedazzle it! I will try to pick some up later.  For the nurses hat, I found a template at
Danielle's Place of Crafts and Activities. You can find complete instructions to make this hat on her "Doctor and Nurse Crafts" page.  Once you download the picture, you will most likely need to enlarge it.  This can easily be done by inserting the image into a Microsoft Publisher or Word Document and just stretching it to the size you want.  I embellished my nurse's hat with some bakers twine, but again some red glitter would totally make this thing pop! Printable link for blog subscribers above the following picture. Your mom doesn't have to be a nurse to do this gift, as they all serve in that capacity anyways.
