A Birthday Party for Jesus

Just thought I would share some pictures from our Birthday Party for Jesus we had tonight. I kept things simple with just some cupcakes, cookies, and snack foods.  We celebrated the birth of Christ by reading the Christmas story and singing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus.
We also had all of the children give their "gift" to Jesus using the little form I designed.  It was a great teaching tool!
When they were finished, we had them place them inside these little boxes and wrap them back up to place under the tree.
The kids had a great time playing and celebrating!   They finished up with a great play session.  I had a few other activities planned, but I ended up just sending them home.  Here are a couple more pictures of the party.  I bought this cute bunting from Sew Happy Boutique on Etsy.

I am so glad we decided to start this Christmas tradition.  I hope that Christ is the center of your Christmas, however you choose to celebrate.

  1. I love this!! I am looking to make Jesus' birthday more like a true birthday party...more like what you have done! I want my children to understand this concept of giving to Jesus-making it more about Him! I know I need this too! ;) Thanks for the great ideas! Do you sell the gift to Jesus form?
