Nursery No. 2: Brown, Orange, and Grey

Here's a glimpse of our orange, brown, and grey nursery for the newest addition to our family.  I came across this Glenna Jean bedding set at Baby Authority and instantly fell in love.  Their mock-up provided me with great inspiration.  My hubby painted the grey stripes and I was incredibly thankful to be able to pull the pregnancy card with that one.  While my husband will admit that the stripes were not insanely difficult to paint, they were definitely not easy and were very time consuming!
I couldn't resist splurging on the bedding set, since buying the matching fabric was just as expensive.  I did, however, substitute the drapes with cheap ones I found at Walmart.    I absolutely loved this print by Handz on Etsy and thought it would complement the nursery quite nicely.  I was able to save quite a bit of money by designing three of my own nursery prints in coordinating colors.  Cheap tissue poms add a little pop to the room as well.
The dresser is just a cheap dresser that I purchased for under 200 bucks at Walmart.com.  It required quite a bit of assembly (I played the pregnant card on that one too!), but it looks great when finally assembled.  I was able to add the changing pad and keep it stationary by running the buckle through the back of the dresser.  I loved this dresser so much that I also bought a white one for my other kiddo's room redo.  I ended up getting her the vertical chest though.
I also purchased the crib cheaply at Walmart.com as well.  I feel like we got the most bang for our buck with our crib and dresser costing less that 350 dollars total. The glider and ottoman were a different story though. We paid a pretty penny for them.  I purchased them at Target.com.  I added cheap orange accents like picture frames, lamps, and books to complete the look.  I ended up personalizing a grey pillow and found that perfect orange pillow in store at Target.
........And cue picture of my handsome hubby enjoying the fruits of his labor!
