Mother's Day Subway Art
This will be my first of two posts tonight. My next will be a teacher gift post. I have completed my second Mother's Day gift and I am so excited to share it with you! I know I said I wasn't going to reveal which mom these gifts were going to; but I think it's pretty obvious.
I just want to take a few seconds to tell you about MY MOMMY Tetsuko. She is one of those moms that would sacrifice just about anything for her children. To this day, she is still my biggest fan. Growing up, I remember always being embarrassed by her going up to total strangers in the checkout line at Wal-mart and telling them about my latest accomplishment. Even worse was when she would find another Japanese lady she knew. I don't speak Japanese, but I knew she could only be talking about me. I would hear plenty of indiscernible Japanese speech, interspersed with "Natalie" and something like "National Honor Roll" somewhere near the end. My mom always called the National Honor Society that, no matter how many times I would correct her. One of my favorite mispronounced words from My Mommy: Gaslinburger (Gatlinburg).
I have made several different options available for blog subscribers. The original size is 11x14. Download links above each picture.
